Read about UR full form here.
This examination is administered for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs at a number of central and state universities in India, including Delhi University, BHU, Allahabad University, Tezpur University, and the University of Hyderabad, among others.
Students who wish to enroll in undergraduate programs at central universities are now required to take the CUET. The board exam scores of a student will play no role in determining his or her admission to a college or program. It will be based solely on his or her CUET scores; however, board scores may serve as a minimum criterion for admission.
The University Grants Commission has changed the name of the exam from CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) to CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) last year (UGC). The test is administered annually in over 500 cities in India as well as abroad. The exam consists of two hours of computer-based evaluation. Initially, the UGC administered CUCET using a paper-and-pencil format. Since last year, the NTA has administered the examination using a computer-based format.
The CUET 2024 will be accepted by 53 central universities and private universities, as opposed to the 12 central universities that participated last year.
It will be administered in 13 international cities and 13 different languages. The CUET 2024 examination will consist of a required language test, two domain-specific tests, and a general test.
Changes have been made to the application fee. PwD category candidates didn’t have to pay an application fee until last year, but this year they have to pay the fee for reserved category candidates.
